| Mission Statement
: The Museum’s mission is to educate and entertain visitors about
the automobile history and its impact on society. This
mission is pursued through maintenance of exhibitions, publications,
collections, records and a library. OBJECTIVES: 1: To instill in visitors a love for history and the effect it has on our lives today. 2: To develop pride in the region, in the nation and in our place in the world. 3: To educate visitors on the history of the automobile (including auto racing). 4: To promote the restoration, preservation and conservation of the automobile and other significant historical items. 5: To be a repository of, and preserve, printed technical materials and historical information. 6: To provide information to the general public, collectors and automobile historians. 7: To provide a facility to house and display the automobile for public exhibition, and for research in the areas of the automotive sciences and automobile mechanics. 8. To provide historical literature and memorabilia on the automobile, from its development to the present day, for the general public and collectors. 9. To collect analyze, preserve and exhibit items in a secure environment. We hope visitors will leave with an appreciation of the hard work and dedication prior generations had in developing this country. We are committed to promoting the future by preserving the past. |
